Search Continues This Afternoon for Missing Greenville County Man

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A search is continuing this afternoon in northern Oconee County after the vehicle of a man reported missing by Greenville County was located.

 

Late this morning, a hiker discovered a gray 2010 Nissan Sentra on Tower Road near Highway 107.  The vehicle was located at a gate that was secured.  Keys were found inside of the vehicle but no one was located inside of the vehicle.

 

Oconee County Emergency Services have established a unified command this afternoon at Oconee State Park with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office in the search for Mark Patrick Wagnon.

 

Mark is 5’7” tall and weighs 158 pounds.  Mark has a white beard and wears brownish black glasses.  He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt and blue jeans. 

 

Other agencies that are involved in the search this afternoon are Greenville County EMS, Mountain Rest Fire Department, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, Prisma EMS, South Carolina Department of Natural of Resources and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.  The South Carolina Emergency Management Division was also notified. 

 

Unified Command is continuing to seek the public’s help in locating Mark.  If you see anyone matching his description, please call 911 immediately.  Unified Command is recommending that citizens check around homes and for footage for any doorbell cameras.
