(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------Registration is now open for the 1st Annual Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Police Academy Alumni Dinner.
The Alumni Dinner will be held on Thursday, December 12th, from 6pm until 8pm, at the Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative Community Room, which is located at 2328 Sandifer Boulevard. The Dinner is being held in support of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Foundation.
The dinner is not open to the public and is only open to alumni of the previous 12 Citizens Police Academy’s that have been hosted by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office (SC). You must RSVP in order to attend the dinner.
If you are alumni of any of the 12 previous Citizens Police Academy’s hosted by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office (SC), and would like to attend the Alumni Dinner and have yet to receive an invitation to reserve your tickets, please contact Helen Westmoreland with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office at hwestmoreland@oconeelaw.com. The cost for the meal being provided is $50 per person and the menu will consist of Prime Rib, Roasted Thyme Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus, Autumn Salad and Dessert.
As part of the Dinner program, Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw will provide an update on the latest news from the Sheriff’s Office and the Sheriff’s Foundation. Attendees will also hear about new volunteer opportunities with the Sheriff’s Office, the Sheriff’s Foundation and Crimestoppers of Oconee County, Inc.
The first Citizens Police Academy was held in 2014. Ceremonies for the 12th graduating class were held at the Blue Ridge Community Room on Thursday, November 14th.
