OCSO Serves Additional Arrest Warrants on Seneca Man Arrested during Search Warrant

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------A Seneca man, who was arrested Wednesday morning during the execution of a search warrant, has been served with additional arrest warrants related to drug offenses.


57 year old Steven Ashley Neal was initially served arrest warrants charging him with one count each of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, along with seven counts of Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime. The charges were based on evidence obtained during the execution of the search warrant.


Agents with the Narcotics Division and deputies from the P.A.C.E. (Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement) team executed the search warrant at 120 Goddard Avenue. During the execution of the search warrant, Agents seized approximately 130 grams of Methamphetamine, a quantity of Marijuana, seven firearms and a quantity of cash. Two of the firearms were reported stolen. Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division are handling the investigation of the stolen firearms.


The two additional warrants served on Neal charge him with one count each of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Distribution of Methamphetamine.


The two additional charges stem from controlled buys of narcotics by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office.


At this time, Neal remains in custody at the Detention Center on a combined $270,000 surety bond.


The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
