Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Holding 2nd Annual Donations Drive for Safe Harbor

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------In recognition of October as “Domestic Violence Awareness Month,” the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is holding its 2nd Annual donations drive for Safe Harbor. 

 

The donations drive is being conducted by the two Victim’s Advocates from the Sheriff’s Office, Corporal Katrina Carter and Corporal Sonia Royal.  Katrina and Sonia have set up a display table in the main lobby of the first floor of the Sheriff’s Office, which is located at 300 S. Church Street, in Walhalla.

 

The requested donations are based upon the items that Safe Harbor is most requesting and in need of.  Those items are:

 

·         Large Tote Bags/Purses (for New Arrival Kits)

·         Journals and Pens (Any Notebook is fine)

·         Hair Styling Products

·         Full-Size Hygiene Items – Greatest Needs are Mouthwash, Lotion, Razors, Shaving Cream, and Soap

 

Under the table in the main lobby are boxes where donations can be placed.  Also, Katrina and Sonia have placed brochures and other information regarding Safe Harbor and for South Carolina Legal Services on the display table.

 

Donations are being accepted at the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office during normal business hours, weekdays from 8:30am until 5pm, from now thru October 31st of this month.
