Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Conducting Active Death Investigation near Seneca

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an active death investigation this afternoon at a hotel near Seneca.

The E-911/Communications Center received a call around 11:25am this morning due to reports of a deceased male found in a room at the Tru by Hilton location on Clemson Boulevard.

Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division, investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division and agents from the Narcotics Division responded to the scene to gather evidence and begin an investigation. Paramedics and the Oconee County Coroner’s Office also responded to the scene.

At this time, there is no danger to the public.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
