Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Westminster Woman on First Degree Burglary Charge

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Westminster woman over the weekend on a charge of First Degree Burglary.
54 year old Angela Louise Stevens, of Amber Drive, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 12:34pm Sunday. Stevens was also charged with Assault and Battery – 3rd Degree in regards to the same incident.
A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to the Amber Drive address late Sunday morning in reference to a report of an assault. The Deputy spoke with the victim, an adult female, who stated that Stevens made entry into her camper, without permission, and assaulted her.
Based upon information obtained during the investigation, the Deputy arrested Stevens and transported her to jail. The Deputy issued a citation on the Assault and Battery charge and obtained an arrest warrant on the First Degree Burglary charge.
According to the arrest warrant, Stevens made entry into the dwelling home of the victim, without consent, and caused physical harm or injury to the victim.
At this time, Stevens remains in jail on a combined $26,087.50 surety bond.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
