(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Walhalla man and a Seneca man yesterday during the execution of two separate search warrants involving two separate investigations.
During the execution of the first search warrant yesterday morning, 43 year old William Justin Holliday of Walhalla was arrested and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 11:20am Thursday.
Narcotics Agents from the Special Operations Bureau of the Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at an address on Rock Crusher Road near Walhalla. The search warrant was obtained due to an ongoing narcotics investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
During the execution of the search warrant, additional quantities of Cocaine, Crack Cocaine and Oxycodone, along with a firearm, were seized from a motorhome.
During the course of the entirety of the investigation, Agents obtained a total of nine arrest warrants against Holliday (five counts of Trafficking in Cocaine and one count each of Trafficking in Crack Cocaine, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Oxycodone) and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime).
The second search warrant was executed by Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Bureau, as well as Narcotics Agents, at an address on Jasmine Lane near Seneca. The search warrant was obtained by the Sheriff’s Office due in part to an investigation by the Clemson City Police Department of 29 year old Danny Eugene Goreta of Seneca, as well as an ongoing narcotics investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
During the execution of the search warrants, additional quantities of Oxycodone, Cocaine and Marijuana were discovered, which led Agents to obtain a second search warrant of the Jasmine Lane, and the seizure of those drugs. Also, a pistol was seized from the residence that had its serial number removed or obliterated.
Goreta was arrested and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 3:32am this morning. During the course of the entirety of the investigation, Agents obtained nine arrest warrants against Goreta. Those charges against Goreta, according to Narcotics Agents, are for one count each of Distribution of Marijuana, Ecstasy and Adderall, as well as one count each of Possession of Oxycodone and Marijuana, one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine as well as the arrest warrant on the weapons violation charge.
At this time, Holliday and Goreta remain in jail pending a bond hearing. A hold has been placed on Goreta by the Clemson City Police Department on charges in their jurisdiction, according to Agents.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
