Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two on a Trafficking in Methamphetamine Charge

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man and woman Saturday on Trafficking in Methamphetamine charges after responding to a Seneca area address regarding a disturbance call.


44 year old Jessica Lamb Marcus (Tollison) and 45 year old Carey Joe Tollison were booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4:27pm and 5:04pm respectively Saturday. Both subjects have listed addresses, on arrest warrants, as Green Acres Drive in Seneca. The Detention Center has a listing address of Camden Drive in Anderson for Marcus (Tollison).


Both subjects were also charged with Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime. Carey Joe Tollison also had an outstanding arrest warrant on a charge of Forgery from the Seneca Police Department.


Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division responded this past Saturday afternoon to the Green Acres Road address. Deputies spoke with Jessica and then located Carey Joe inside of the residence, where he was placed under arrest due to the outstanding arrest warrant.


After searching the residence for officer safety purposes, deputies located a quantity of narcotics in a room of the residence. After receiving consent to search the room, deputies located a firearm and a quantity of narcotics. Both Jessica and Carey Joe were placed under arrest and transported to the Detention Center.


At this time, Jessica remains in custody at the Detention Center on a combined $30,000 surety bond. Carey Joe also remains in custody, at the Detention Center, on a combined $85,000 surety bond.


A hold has been placed on Carey Joe Tollison by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
