61 year old David Allen Wallace, of Landon Drive, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 1:52am Wednesday.  Wallace was taken into custody by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office late Tuesday evening.  Custody was then transferred to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, where the Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.

Wallace was also served two outstanding General Session Bench Warrants on charges of Second Degree Burglary.  Wallace will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond, should he be released from jail.  A hold was also placed on Wallace by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

The charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine, along with charges of Driving under Suspension, Reckless Driving, Failure for Stop for a Blue Light and for being a Habitual Traffic Offender were obtained by a Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau after a pursuit which occurred on the afternoon of March 19th.

The Deputy observed Wallace operating a motorcycle and running a stop sign on Durham Brown Road near S. Friendship Road, which is near Seneca.  The Deputy initiated a traffic stop; however, Wallace refused to pull over.

The pursuit concluded in a parking lot on Meehan Way near S. Mechanic Street in Pendleton.  During a search of the motorcycle, approximately 38.06 grams of Methamphetamine was seized from the motorcycle that Wallace was in operation of.

Once booked into jail, Wallace was also served an outstanding arrest warrant on a charge of Possession of Fentanyl.  The warrant was obtained from a quantity of narcotics seized during a Warrant Service on Landon Drive near Seneca from February of 2024.
