Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Seneca Man on Trafficking in Methamphetamine Charge

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------A traffic stop early Wednesday morning near Seneca led to the arrest of a Seneca man on a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.


54 year old Brian Keith Roach of Castle Drive was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 2:57am Wednesday. Roach was also served with an outstanding General Sessions Bench Warrant. At this time, Roach remains in jail.


At this time, Roach remains in jail. Roach received a $25,000 surety bond on the Trafficking charge.


A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau, on routine patrol, observed a white Ford Explorer on Wells Highway near Seneca with defective equipment. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and the driver of the Explorer pulled into a business parking lot on Market Street around 12:40am.


The deputy made contact with the driver, as well as a female passenger and a male passenger, who was identified as Roach. A check with dispatch revealed that Roach had the active General Sessions Bench Warrant. Roach was placed under arrest.


During the course of the arrest, and a search of his person, a quantity of Methamphetamine was located on Roach’s person. An additional quantity of Narcotics was located in the proximity of where Mr. Roach had exited the vehicle.


Based upon evidence that was gathered during the investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained against Mr. Roach. According to deputies, approximately 11.24 grams of Methamphetamine was seized.
