Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Oconee Man on Kidnapping and Domestic Violence Charges

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------------An Oconee County man remains in jail today, on a combined $85,000 surety bond, after his arrest last Friday on charges of Kidnapping and Domestic  Violence – 1st Degree.

 

21 year old Carlee Kameron Heaton, who has listed addresses of Deer Creek Estates Road in Walhalla and Jones Road in West Union, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on March 21st at around 1:27pm.  Heaton was taken into custody during a Warrant Service at the Jones Road residence.

 

Heaton will also be required to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond, if he is released from jail. 

 

A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau met with the victim on the morning of Thursday, March 20th.  The victim, an adult female, informed the Deputy that she had been held against her will and was the victim of an assault.  The Deputy observed a physical manifestation of injuries on the victim.  Deputies also made contact with the suspect, identified as Heaton.

 

The victim was transported to a safe environment.  The investigation was turned over to a Violent Crimes Investigator with the Criminal Investigations Bureau. 

 

Based upon evidence obtained during the investigation, it was determined that Heaton had broken the victim’s phone in order to keep her calling for help.  Heaton also physically assaulted the victim, and unlawfully confined the victim, during a time period between February 17th, 2025 and March 20th, 2025.

 

During his arrest last Friday, a quantity of Methamphetamine was found on his person.  Subsequently, Heaton was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.

 

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
