Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Duncan, SC Man on Multiple Property Crime Warrants

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Duncan, SC man remains in jail today at the Oconee County Detention Center, on a combined $72,205.00 surety bond, after his arrest Thursday on multiple property crime warrants related to two separate investigations.

 

A hold has also been placed on 38 year old Cortney Lamont Vincent, of Tralee Drive, by the Duncan, SC Police Department.  Vincent was transported from the Spartanburg County Detention Center to the Oconee County Detention Center yesterday and booked into jail. 

 

Vincent was charged in arrest warrants, obtained by a Property Crimes Investigator from the Sheriff’s Office, with one count each of First Degree Burglary, Breaking into a Motor Vehicle, Petit Larceny and Malicious Injury to Property.

 

Vincent was charged in two separate property crimes that occurred at two separate addresses on Garden Circle, which is near Wells Highway and halfway between Seneca and Clemson.  Both crimes occurred on or about July 21st of this year.

 

In one of the crimes, Vincent was charged with breaking into a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup and stealing a tool bag with miscellaneous hand tools at one address on Garden Circle, according to arrest warrants.

 

In another of the crimes, Vincent is accused of breaking into a residence during the nighttime hours at another address on Garden Circle.  During the break-in, Vincent is charged in an arrest warrant with causing damage to the interior of the home and an outside air conditioning unit by tearing cabinets off walls, ripping a shower unit from a wall, destroying walls, breaking a window and causing other damage. 

 

The owner of the residence that was burglarized provided a cost of the damage that occurred to the residence at approximately $14,053.00

 

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
