Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Announces Two Additional Arrests in First Drug Round-Up of 2022

(Walhalla, SC)---------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is announcing two additional arrests today in the first drug round-up of 2022.


The Sheriff’s Office began the operation on Thursday morning, March 3rd with a meeting and briefing at 9:00am at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla.


At the beginning of the drug sweep, the Sheriff’s Office announced that they were seeking 33 suspects, with arrest warrants, based on controlled purchases of narcotics by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office. Among the narcotics purchased during the controlled buys by undercover operatives were Marijuana, Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Heroin and prescription medication.


As of 2:30pm today, 23 individuals had been arrested so far and/or were already in jail and will or have been served their warrants. Here are the names of the latest arrestees and their charges according to arrest warrants:


1) Christopher Lamar Tribble

31 years old

Seneca, SC

Distribution of Methamphetamine – 1 count

Tribble was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 9:12pm on

Friday, March 11th

Tribble received a $25,000 personal recognizance bond. A hold was placed on

Tribble by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and custody was transferred to their

agency on Monday, March 14th


2) Thomas Allen Ferguson

42 years old

Westminster, SC

Distribution of Heroin – 1 count

Distribution of Methamphetamine – 1 count

Ferguson was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on Monday, March 14th

around 9:03am

At this time, Ferguson remains in custody pending a bond hearing
