Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Announces Final Arrest in the Second Drug Round-Up of 2023

(Walhalla, SC)---------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is announcing today the final arrest in the second drug round-up of 2023. 

 

     The Sheriff’s Office began the operation with a meeting and briefing at 8:30am on Thursday morning, September 28th, 2023 at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla. 

 

    The Sheriff’s Office obtained arrest warrants on 26 subjects.  The arrest warrants were obtained based on controlled purchases of narcotics by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office.  Among the narcotics purchased during the controlled buys were Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl, Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Prescription Medication.    

 

     As of today, all 26 subjects wanted have been arrested and/or were already in jail and will or have been served their warrants.  Here is the name of the final subject arrested: 

 

· Jonathan Nolan Lee Ivester

25 years old

Dairy Farm Road – Fair Play

Brock Road – Westminster, SC

Distribution of Methamphetamine – 1 count

Ivester was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 3:18am on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024.  Ivester was arrested early Monday morning after a traffic stop on Coneross Creek Road and Perry Woolbright Drive near Townville.  During the traffic stop, Ivester was charged with Driving Uninsured and Driving without a License.  Ivester was also served with a Magistrate Bench Warrant.  At this time, Ivester remains in jail on a combined $50,672.50 surety bond.  A hold has been placed on Ivester by two Georgia law enforcement agencies: the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.
