Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Announces Additional Arrest in Second Drug Round-Up of 2022

(Walhalla, SC)---------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is announcing today an additional arrest in the second drug round-up of 2022.


The Sheriff’s Office began the operation on Thursday, September 1st with a meeting and briefing at 9:00am at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla.


The Sheriff’s Office obtained arrest warrants on 20 subjects. The arrest warrants were obtained based on controlled purchases of narcotics by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office. Among the narcotics purchased during the controlled buys by undercover operatives were Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Heroin, LSD, and Ecstasy.


As of 2:30pm today, nineteen individuals had been arrested so far and/or were already in jail and will or have been served their warrants. Here is the name of additional suspect arrested and their charge according to arrest warrants:


· Lori Denise Williams

42 years old

Walhalla, SC and Seneca, SC

Distribution of Methamphetamine – 1 count

Williams was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 2:05am today.

Williams was also served two outstanding General Session Bench Warrants.

At this time, Williams remains in jail. Williams was given a $25,000 surety bond on the

Distribution of Methamphetamine charge.
