Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Announces Additional Arrest in Second Drug Round-Up of 2022

(Walhalla, SC)---------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is announcing today an additional arrest in the second drug round-up of 2022.

The Sheriff’s Office began the operation on Thursday, September 1st with a meeting and briefing at 9:00am at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla.

The Sheriff’s Office obtained arrest warrants on 20 subjects. The arrest warrants were obtained based on controlled purchases of narcotics by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office. Among the narcotics purchased during the controlled buys by undercover operatives were Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Heroin, LSD, and Ecstasy.

As of 1pm today, sixteen individuals had been arrested so far and/or were already in jail and will or have been served their warrants. Here is the name of additional suspect arrested and their charges according to arrest warrants:

Westminster, SC

Webb was a passenger in a vehicle that was the subject of a traffic stop yesterday afternoon on Highway 24 near Wilburs Place, which is near Townville. Webb was taken into custody on the two outstanding warrants and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4:14pm. At this time, Webb remains in jail on a combined $100,000 surety bond. Webb will have to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond, should he be released.
