A Seneca man remains in jail today, after his bond was denied, on charges related to an incident in which an adult male was stabbed.
33 year old Jeremiah Buster Head, of Snow Creek Road, has been charged with one count each of Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature, Domestic Violence – 2nd Degree and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.
Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to an address on Cedar Valley Lane, which is near South Friendship Road and Seneca, late Sunday evening, November 24th, in regards to a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, an adult male was observed to have been stabbed and was transported to the hospital. Another adult male, identified as Head, was discovered at another location and was also transported to the hospital for treatment and evaluation after an injury complaint.
As the investigation continued, Deputies were informed that Head was arguing with an adult female and then reportedly walked towards her inside of the residence. It was then that a physical altercation occurred between Head and the adult male. It was during this physical altercation that Head stabbed the adult male. There were also two children inside of the residence at the incident location, according to Deputies.
The investigation was turned over to an Investigator with the Criminal Investigation Bureau who responded to the incident scene and continued to collect evidence, including making contact with all parties who were involved.
Based upon evidence obtained during the investigation, it was determined that Head had lunged at the adult female in a threatening manner, which led to a charge of Domestic Violence – 2nd Degree being filed. The Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated charge was obtained against Head for stabbing the adult male in the back multiple times with a knife.
According to an arrest warrant, Head was out on bond after his arrest in July of this year on a charge of Domestic Violence – 1st Degree involving the same adult female victim.
Head will also be required to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond, should he be released from jail.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation. For health privacy and safety reasons, the Sheriff’s Office will not release any medical condition information or status of those who were transported to the hospital for treatment.
